When you're meeting someone regularly?

I've been meeting someone regularly for about a year, (as I've done with others in the past with no problems) and have had lots of great times, sometimes more regularly than others due to work schedules etc.

Now I have the problem that he wants more than friends with benefits and wants exclusivity. I don't and I'm aware that I probably need to walk away.

I'm just interested on others opinions on the whole "how often" you would meet someone scenario.. Once a month? Once a week? More often? Less often?

For me I've done all of the above with people I've met on long term and short term basis and never had any issues with one or the other wanting more (or less).

I've had a FB for 7 years now. We meet every 2 to 4 weeks depending on various things. He has let me know that he would prefer to see me more often but we both know a monogamous relationship would be disastrous so have kept it the way it is.

Some men aren't content with that. If you don't want to be exclusive then you might have to walk away. Better that than constant pestering when you meet.

I see one particular person regularly - sometimes weekly, sometimes fornightly and occasionally a couple of times a week!

It depends how often i'm working near her or travelling past - it's rare that i'll make a special trip specifically to meet her but i've done so a couple of times, taken her to meet a couple I know and am taking her to a club next week.

I've made clear since day one my attitude to relationships (more chance of me winning the lottery/hell freezing over!) and so far there seems to be no issues as far as that goes.

I have in the past found myself needing to call it quits and walk away - and have done so hoping to part on good terms. Hasn't always worked out like that sadly, but it's important to maintain clear boundaries that if they are ever crossed, or you feel are heading that way - a conversation needs to be held sooner rather than later!

Same here...no set times between meets, it's just a case of when we are free so could be a couple of times a week or it could be weeks before we get together.

As for him stating he wants more...if it's something you are definitely not interested in then be clear and let him know and if needs be then walk away. Will probably not have been easy for him to tell you so respect that but be honest

I've always been clear from the outset that friends with benefits / playmates (whatever you want to call it) was all that was on the cards... He's agreed that he knew this and felt the same. Just seems to have changed his mind recently.

Oh well... Onwards and upwards

I had a guy want to move in with me after 2 meets and i have a guy ive met regular for over a years and never had him even suggest a relationship,i think it comes down to the person rather than how often you meet them
