It depends on mood but it hasn't bothered me .. sex can be pretty messy anyway, new or long term. If it goes that way there's probably worse things that can happen.

Adding another towel makes sure the bed isn't totally knackered, then sticking them in the shower with both of you soaping and stamping around washes the majority out.

My IUD has stopped my periods now, but I always used to be horniest when I was on my period which was frustrating as half the time I was also in agony. But orgasms would often help with the cramps.
