I think once you get over 60, you are definitely perceived as "too old" by many in these parts (if not 10 years before TBH)

It's also not helped, IMHO, by the fact that lots leave their default age range to 18-99 (even though they typically have a cut-off way lower than that), resulting in you thinking you might still be 'in the frame' with some, whereas you are really excluded from most, from the get-go (whatever you might say in your approaches to them).

The bummer of course (as I'm sure you feel too), is there is lots of life in the 'old dog' yet and you probably still feel mentally like you did in your mid-30s, albeit you look much older of course; I'm certainly still very capable and sexually active for sure.

Even though I don't look my age, I'm not going to lie about it (which would probably help!). Tis what it is I'm afraid, might as well be honest me thinks.

The really 'wider' question here, is why no one told us this would happen!!!

Strangely enough I had never heard of fab or anything like it when I was 50. I joined when I was 52 with zero experience or expectation and haven't had any age related issues.

To answer the op, I haven't been meeting anyone new for the last 5 years but that's by choice for personal reasons. I do however have someone I meet on a regular basis and we have a couples profile on here as well

Tbh I would also say no thanks but it's nothing personal. My eldest daughter is almost the same age as you and I have a strict preference of always keeping a 10 year gap between my kids ages and anyone I'm meeting.

Interesting post. I’m going on 71 and still getting excitement at the thought of meets. I think medication has a lot to answer for in older men, i regularly hear tales of guys who just can’t get hard anymore…must frustrate both them and their partners. Happily in my case almost the opposite, harder than ever. As for meets, they have happened and are almost always wonderfully uplifting. Not as many as I’d like but not zero either so stay optimistic, if it can happen for me I reckon you younger guys have loads of chances! As for the ladies on here who like older men, congratulations on your taste!!

Folks on here are generally trying to fulfil fantasies of some sort and whilst age may be a factor for some other things will be for others (body shape, hair or lack of , face etc). So whilst being over 60 narrows the field other factors are at play too.

Have I met anyone through this site no not really, have I interacted with folks at clubs that have subsequently led to play yes, but it's not every time (the same factors still apply) you need to be attractive in some way to someone and that's easier to do face to face.

So all I can suggest op is get yourself off to a local club and visit it more than once

Due to the number of guys significantly outnumbering women on fab it’s understandably difficult to get a meet at any age. Unfortunately too many guys think that being on fab guarantees them a meet. Think again! Don’t for one minute convince yourself that the women on fab are desperate, when they generally have a much larger pool to choose from. Just be patient, engage in conversation if the opportunity arises and if that leads to a meet, either social or play then happy days! Just be yourself not what you think people want you to be.

I think fab is a shit placefor single guys whatever age to get regular meets IMO What you lose in the age stakes as you get older you gain in experience,

pateience, kinkiness plus you know what you want which is a turn on for either sex so it balances out.

This is also an more middle-age focused scene. Its never really been a 'young' scene - people in their 20s up to early 30s have regular bars, clubs and stuff so this should just be a sideline - any male ih their early 20s fixated on this scene should re-assess things IMO and get out more - literally...theres a world out there (and i pulled far more in regular clubs back then than i ever have on fab ...

so swinging is, and always has been, with obvious outliers, very much slanted towards middle age - the sort of late thirties to late fifties as an everage i'd say - and that means as folk get to their 60s and 70s there should be plenty of others reaching that age group so still a market.

Whether fab is the best way of meeting people is another subject of course

I do ok off this site, this is simply an occasional indulgence, so I don't worry about being ignored. I love the scene though, I've learned so much about human behaviour.
