Do verificatons matter?

Just wondering if being verified even matters. I've got plenty of good veri's but still seem to struggle to get meets.

Maybe people see loads of verifications as you're just looking to wet your willy and disappear into the night. Some people want a regular buddy maybe?

Or it might just be that there's so many single males on here, people can afford to be overly picky.

Yes they matter!

In as much as people like to see them to prove you actually turn up and are apparently who you say and preferably nice! Specific details and a blow by blow (pun intended!) account of meets are not important.

However they are no more important than a good, clear, well written profile, some nice tasteful pics, a sensible contact approach - and a good attitude and sense of expectancy!

See I don't show mine and have had no problems with meets. I am of the belief that what one person says about another means nothing to me as we both might be very nice people but hate each other. I would rather find tout for myself about any proposed meet and not rely on what someone else says about them

I think she's referring to the bizarre coincidence that most of your veri's are dated the 9th!

Except the January one which seems to have been written in invisible ink!

Verifications DO matter as they generally attest to the person/couple being, at the very least, real. I won't meet anyone who isn't verified off fabs, too many time wasters and wannabes on this site. My play time is far to valuable to be wasted.

I only use them as a guide to be honest if someone has a few helps build a picture for me as to how they come across.

It was tough, but i'm gen so when I actually chatted to people they knew I would turn up.

Echoing the thoughts already aired on the thread, I'd say verifications are indeed important, however just like pics and profile, when it comes to single males none of these factors alone is enough for consistently getting meets - you need good pics, a well written profile AND good verifications to support one another, and a good approach to interacting with others on here.

To be honest I don't care as I make my own mind up and someone with of veris are usually from social meets and clubs etc

A few weeks ago we had two meets arranged, both were verified and both let us down, we have let one couple down ( at very short notice) before and it wasnt nice but out of our control.

well what about new members I try to arrange a meet with couple and all my messages was deleted without reading how can I possible proof Im the good guy if people simply ignor you? little chance will be nice or simply no message back don't you think?

We do the club scene and several times people were asking us "are you members on fabs?", so we joined fabs, got verified by someone we met at a club, and we've been meeting from here since. We use this mostly for our hotel meets now but we still do the club scene but just not as much.

Yes, I think the verification system is a feature which stands fab apart from other sites. Its not infallible but does add to the safety especially as a single female meeting new people.

I wouldn't contact a profile unless it displayed met in person veri's.

I also don't allow newbies or non verifieds to contact me. My choice in my selection process and I've never been let down or suffered with time wasters. (On this note I do not count a time waster as someone I did not find sexually attractive and only met socially, or decided against meeting)
