So many good walks in Hampshire. I definitely need to get back into hiking after many years away from it.

What is your definition or a real hike?

Ten miles? Twenty miles?

I walk 5 miles, here in The New Forest, every day, and do longer ones most weeks.

I do have a couple of dogs in tow which might not be your thing.

Always walking, usually around the farmland to the North of Wallington towards Wickham and Boarhunt. Happy to share specifics if you fancy joining or crossing paths…

We often travel over to Selbourne and start with the Gilbert White zig zag and then take a hike in a loop often arriving conveniently back at the pub

A quite nice secluded scenic walk x

Next time, I would recommend he water meadows walk following the Itchen into Winchester, plus a few pubs along the way, just encase you need some refreshments.
