My self and my wife were very active members pre covid as a couple. We took a break from fab throughout covid.

Now we want to get very much involved again, but I can only put myself out as a male.as maxine isn't comfortable putting herself out there now due to a change in her work ...which I completely understand on her behalf.

Are we wasting are time?

It's still something we both want to be involved in but not sure how it's going to be able to work... any advice ???

I doubt anyone will take you seriously as a couple via a single male profile.

The site is pretty much anonymous. You can set up a couple profile easily and post photos that don't reveal identities. You can be vague re your location. You can avoid using real names.

There's no reason if you actually want to swing as a couple not to have a couples profile and it'll be nigh on impossible to get any interest without one.

You won't know if you are wasting your time or not unless you try

Maybe put a message on your "update" along the lines of "wife also wishing to meet"

We wouldn't contemplate meeting a couple from a single man's profile.

You have used your wife's name in your post, if she is ok with that why doesn't she want to be part of a couples profile?

A couple posting on a singles profile is a big red flag.

This is literally something lots of men do. Pretend they are in a couple to entice certain people.

I don’t see any reason you couldn’t set up a couple a profile. No one is saying you have to put face pics or any identifying features on it.

If you want to go down the single profile route, you might get lucky but I bet that you will get a lot of people just ignoring you.

For me personally if a you say your a couple but don’t have a couples profile it’s a huge red flag. I know a lot of “professionals” on here and they still put up faceless pictures and cover up tattoos if needed.
