When does no become time wasting

We arranged to meet a couple in a club and for one reason or another we decided to decline, we met just after nine and I think it was half ten when we said sorry but we've decided to leave this as a social and leave them to play pool, we were polite and left it there

Now the weekend is over they have a status up about timewasters now to us this was not time wasting we were getting to know them to see if we wanted to do anything and also trying to get a private moment where we could chat and decide if they were for us. As soon as we had a private chat we let them know.

Should we have cut it off earlier what's everyone's expectations?

You couldn't have known. There was no way of cutting it earlier...

What you should do? Come play snooker with us? lol

People see it as time wasting because they go to clubs with a feeling of entitlement.

Nothing is guaranteed until you actually sit with someone and see if you click.

Their status could have been referring to someone else. If they were referring to you it's wrong. Just because you arrange to say hello to people that doesn't mean play is definitely on the cards. However some think that it does, and that everybody will play with everybody. Your etiquette was good in spending some time with them, many don't even turn up. If saying hello and having a chat means you have to play then God help us all

That's true it might not be referring to ourselves we think it is because of some of the looks we received later that night and being blocked by them, we can see the status as we blocked them too

personally it wouldnt of taken me an hour and half to know if i was interested in having sex with them or not.

maybe because you took that long to deside Op they see that as their time wasted.

an earlier 'sorry not for us' would of been better.

I disagree I would take that long. It's not a really long time is it? You have to get to know people.

Some people take rejection badly or feel so entitled and throw a strop like they did and others take it on the chin. I guess you just got some bad apples.

Absolutely nothing wrong with what you did 🤷‍♂️ we make a point of always saying we will meet at a club but with no expectations, other than a chat and hopefully a laugh 😊

If they were that impatient to know why didn't they simply ask you if you'd be interested in playing later?

The didnt like that you didn't want to take it futher. It's bit time wasting to want to chat and see if that spark/attraction is there.

I've had it when I've exchanged a few messages, before deciding they weren't for me.
