Can people advise us on what’s the correct etiquette for some fun in the dunes?

Where do we go? How do we meet other fabsters? How do you avoid meerkats and the wanking dead? Or how do you “advertise” you are there for fun?

Shamed to say we work locally but have never ventured into the dunes for fun.

Any pointers would be gratefully received

PM if you prefer

As you approach the beach from the road parking, left is generally gay and right straight.

You need to be careful, police and national trust patrol at times.

Difficult to deter undesirables, it's a public open beach, if they want to stand nearby advertising that you're up to something then there's not much you can do. Meerkats attract meerkats.

Take some windbreaks or beach shelter so you can be out of sight.

Only play in the dunes.

The correct etiquette is don't play at all. Studland is an official family naturist beach - one of the few in the UK - and there are some in the National Trust who are begging for an excuse to shut it down. Please don't give them that excuse.

It is a naturist beach, not a swingers site as others have said.

We've been a few times, one time, we had NO intentiins of playing at all. We had our picnic, went in the sea, sun bathed and had a nap. We we're woken up, by a warden and a Karen. She'd reported us for encouraging the guys. When we'd explained what we we're doing, the warden turned to Karen and said, " what we,re they doing"?. Karen said, they we're just lying there (alseep), it was the guys around them wanking!

We could not be held responsible for what guys did, when we we're asleep. So the warden walked off. It was getting late, and we we're ready to pack up and go. Swanage for fish cakes of course!

I've heard the wardens finish shift at 6pm.

Studland is a wonderful place, and we;ve been a few times. Only on the beach though and just doing the nudist thing. I hope NT don't have enough ammunition to make a good case for closing it down, as that would be tragic. People just need to behave there.
