Read a few profiles lately where guys have said if I wink it means I'm interested. Sorry but IMO I just think its being lazy. What do others think?

I sometimes look at profiles who've winked me and very occasionally wink back if the profile takes my fancy...if I then get a message that shows they've read my profile then fair dos, but I can't remember many that have

its an ice breaker whats the point in writing hundreds of words to see your email deleted with no reply? maybe they was sneaking a quick look at work and didn't have time for a full message.

many reasons to wink but to label all winkers lazy, well is judgmental. if i was to presume one group of people who wouldn't be judgmental..... it wouldbe swingers....

See a quick message is more likely to get me to look at a profile which would them get my attention

I personally find wonks are a good tool, it shows your interest without having the humiliation of sending a message and seeing it instantly get deleted.

Plus I would probably say I've had more contact from ladies as a result of winks over sending messages,

So if you like what you see, wink!

which is great, we all have our preferences. that isnt an issue. however labels I find terrible offensive and harmful. thats my only point.

The site obviously thinks its what works for some otherwise it would have been binned. I am not a great fan personally but its not worth getting worked up about as you can mass delete if you choose. I see it more as a selective "who's looked at you and likes" tool and it does no harm.

we don't mind winks. if we get a wink we'll have a look at the profile and if we like it we either wink back. this is showing we like what we've seen. then the ball is in their court. its an easy way to show your both interested. then let the games begin

sorry i coudn't resist had to wink you just for the hell of it lol

Seriously though - I only RETURN winks to fems/couples - but will wink men if i like them.

Its the same argument about un answered messages i guess --- ie; if your message is deleted why do they keep "looking at me"

I use it to see if they are interested . There's nothing worse taking ur time with a message and it gets deleted . It's a feeler
