Having been on here for quite some time, I'm looking for some advice.

I'm getting to the point (notwithstanding the recent issue of turning 51 and the limitation of folk with a 50 age limit) where I'm running out of folk that I think I might like to meet within a reasonable proximity to me.

I've been lucky enough to have had some great meets and some not so great meets and some nightmares.

I've been unlucky enough to have been blocked by a fair share too generally down to them not finding me attractive enough, spamming them or saying something that irl would be taken as a joke but on here didn't translate too well. (On one occasion I was blocked before I had got home and the good stuff was still warm).

Then there are the folk that either delete or don't read my carefully crafted, profile referencing introductions.

The final category are those that I've bored. So you get chatting, you think you're making progress and then they stop messaging.

So really the advice I'm seeking is do I set up a new profile with a little white lie on the age thing, some newer photos which I could touch up a little, different angles etc, different name of course, so I can 'reinvent' myself to the blocked, deleted, bored cohort (excluding the one who blocked me before I'd got home).

Just on the age thing too, the last time I went to get my hair cut, despite still having a full thatch, I was asked by the barber if I qualified for the oap rate (but I just hope he was having a klittle joke).

If someone messages me and their age is a lie I block ,we have 2 chances before it is permanent.

I know you are suggesting that noone would find out ,however lying to get sex is abhorrent to me.

What is so wrong with meeting women your own age or older?

There are some gorgeous,fun women over 50 on here & ofen threads about them so easy to find.

Many people lie about their age on fab. Very few can genuinely get away with it, it's almost always obvious.

I'd suggest stepping back for a couple of weeks then refresh your current profile. Update your photos and rewrite the text. When you search for suitable matches tick the box that says they ' I'm the age they're looking for'. That way you will only be seeing profiles interested in the age you actually are.

Your barber probably needs new glasses or you need a new barber

Not sure what profiles you’re coming across because I’ve stumbled across plenty who have a minimum age limit of 50 & upwards…

It sounds more of a personality issue then an age issue. You make several references to people stopping talking to you after messages you've sent. Lying shouldn't be an option be honest but maybe reflect on the approach you've been taking.
