Then you could enjoy yourself au naturel. It’s easy to get PrEP. You just fill out a form and tick that you’re into group sex/swinging and at risk from unprotected sex. You can take PrEP event based rather than daily if you don’t fancy taking it every day. It just requires that you have enough self control to only have unprotected sex when planned. For a man you take two tablets between two and twenty four hours before unprotected sex and then a further one twenty four and then forty eight jours afterwards. They call that 2:1:1. For a woman it’s the same but you need to carry on with the single follow up tablets for seven days rather than two. | |||

Aside from that the main common STIs are chlamydia (pretty common), gonorrhoea and syphilis (both much less so amongst hetorosexuals). All of those are curable. Then there’s hepatitis B and C which are rare to contract from heterosexual contact. In a fit and healthy person the body usually sees those off, but they can cause problems in unhealthy people. Genital herpes is usually pretty visible when infectious. She just needs to do a really good inspection before it goes near her mouth. If you’ve had a test that says you’re free of herpes (I didn’t know there was a test for that) you’re both in a minority there. Not many people are totally clear of ever having had herpes. Common cold sores around the mouth are the same thing and most people have had them in childhood. Around the mouth they’re less visible at the early stages (tingling feeling is the symptom) and get transmitted by various means. I had a few mouth cold sores when I was a kid. Strangely, I’m 53 now and they’ve never recurred since I was ten or whatever. As I understand it they live in the nerve endings and could come back any time but most likely if you’re run down and your immune system low. | |||

Cheers for all the info, I’ve got autoimmune disease but means my immune system is hyperactive. Never had cold sores or anything like that. I’ve never even had a day off sick, I just don’t get ill at all lol. Only small colds I’m so I’d prob be ok. You can do a herpes test at GUM clinics or can buy home self test kits | |||
