Kinda noticed there is a lot of this about at the moment, did it perhaps start here on FAB then move towards facebook videos ???

(wtf is she on about ) i hear you mutter....

Well, the amount of people who have decapitated head shots in their private galleries....

These galleries are for 'Friends only', why then hide what you look like ???

( just me,Steph,having a rant ! )...

I agree, friends only albums should have face shots, ours does. However, if we chat to people, exchange friends requests and they have no face shots, we delete straight away.

Mind you, we can't all be open like you and have our faces on public view (my company would fire me instantly for example) but if you're intending to meet or invite others to be friends you should have face shots to view.

Sackable offence for me too.

They make me laugh those photos. They look so weird with their heads so far back they look like they don't have a head.

However, I did think this was about the case of the Chinese year 6 girl who beheaded her friend because of jealousy. Sick what one so young had the strength to do and because she's not 14 she's not accountable for it so all the punishment was a fine for her parents! And she's in some sort of therapy.

I think I may disappoint some who are expecting naughty one's but then I don't accept friend invites that easily

I have chatted to a parent without realising it, went on to become friends only to realise later that she has a child at the school I work at, so for me my face pics will remain private.

I was talking to someone on here for ages and we became friends, but whilst I had face pics in mine his was his avatar: a headless torso!

When I asked for a face pic he said he couldn't as he was married!

Someone set up a Facebook page using profile information & pics from fab profiles including friends only pics.

The page was closed after 24 hours luckily but alot of friends profiles were used, was enough to gone us a wake up call!

Who could actually sack you for being on here, I understand not wanting work and colleagues to find out about it, we're the same. not embarrassed about it just don't think that some folk understand. But as for them sacking you I really doubt any company would get away with that. As long as your not doing it in their time theres nothing illegal about having a little fun.

I really don't know why some people find it difficult to understand why it's a stackable offence. It's the same comments everytime this sort of thing comes up. Some people can do what they like in their private lie and it doesn't make a difference to the companies try work for. Other people have jobs on which this lifestyle is a stackable offence. That's a fact. Why argue? It makes no sense?! It's like people think their opinion is fact.

Ok, sorry but if you read what I said all I did was ask who could sack you for this and that I doubted that a company could. Not that it was fact. I just wonder how it would go in an unfair dismissal case. Tho whether anyone would want to do that its another matter.

If you're a shelf stacker or lorry driver: no. If you work with children etc you can be. Recently a policeman was sacked for being on here and a teacher for being a Domme.

I travel the country teaching law on trade union courses, I probably wouldn't get sacked, but I'd rather not chance it or have potential students seeing me here!

Sorry but I think you're wrong. If you work as a shelf stacker for, let's say Tesco, and you have public face shots on here and you are recognised, word will spread quickly. Tesco can then rightly claim that your presence on the shop floor is bringing the wrong kind of publicity and attention to its business. After all, it's in the business of public relations and quite high profile at that. They could probably sack you for bringing the company into disrepute. At best I think they would move you to an off shop floor position which may not be suitable to your needs or hours suitable to your life. Making you so uncomfortable you may just resign anyway. You'd have a hard job claiming unfair dismissal, it would take at least a year before you saw any recompense and that would probably be less than 6 months wages. Then you have to find re-employment and start the whole battle again. Is it worth it just so you have bragging rights about being able to show your face? Doubt it.

We keep our face pics private as we know of at least two people from our town on here who are gossipy sorts.

Yes i know that they are on here for same reaon aswel but i happen to know that these guys show profiles on here to their friends.

So we take precautions and keep them private.

They are available to potential meets after we're satisfied their genuine.

Can only imagine that those who hide face in private gallery dont care about who they add as friends on here....

As for decapitated head shots in private gallery, I jut assume that they were once on public display but for reasons are now in private....Hence no faces....

There's a specific clause in my contract that refers to my actions bringing my employer into disrepute. As a family-friendly business, the definition of disrepute is their definition not mine. Facebook pictures of me blind d*unk would get me into trouble. A pic of me balls-deep in a gangbang, made public would definitely get me sacked

My face pictures are in private. I find too many people judge you before they even got to know you. Once they get to know me a little and i show a face pic, they are pleasantly surprised...but if they saw my pic first, they would have viewed me differently..

..all in a couple of years experience on here..

All contracts should have that clause to protect the employer but they still can't just sack you, suspend you under investigation yes, then once investigated and had a meeting with you to go through the findings of the investigation, yes then they may say they have grounds and yes then you can appeal, may not win, you may then take them to a tribunal but no one can just get 'sacked' without the correct procedure being followed.

I personally do find there is nothing as worse as seeing great bids, chatting through emails etc, getting to the point where you think 'yes, this could be a fun meet', building up this idea in your head of what the other person looks like then finally getting the face pic and thinking "oh no, oh no no no "......

But!.. By that time you've chatted that much there is almost an obligation to meet them but at that stage you have to say "well actually, your not quite what/who I'm looking for"

The other person/s can then be left feeling pretty pissed off and your labelled 'time waster'

As I male i have to say I have had that happen and it is at least preferable to the norm where you write a 3 paragraph introduction having read the profile and get the one liner. "send face pic", you do and get blocked. Not even "Not for me thanks and good luck"

Not really as what is to stop them simply copying your pic from your gallery and keeping it anyway. It only takes 2 seconds to do...

There is nothing to stop them doing it either way....

But to send them a pick rather than let them see it for 2 mins sounds daft from people worried about others having it..

The only way would be to not send/let them see it all....
