Hotel meets first - good or bad?

I personally often feel more nervous attending a hotel meet with new people for the first time. However I have set one up for Wednesday thinking people would feel more comfortable and wondering if it was the right thing to do. How do others feel about hotels for first meets?

I guess it’s a neutral territory so it’s safer, either party don’t feel pressured and it’s less of an issue if there isn’t my chemistry and either party need to leave.

If there is a bar that is great for a first meet, you can sit and have a drink and if you agree go upstairs to a room, if you're not feeling it, no hard feelings just have a drink and leave.

And if the person stands you up, you have a lovely quiet room to crack one out undisturbed

I don’t know about you but I love that you don’t have to care too much about the clean up if all goes well !

I find noise levels an issue, even a good spanking can bring a knock at the door for sound levels. Rather an Airbnb where there's some privacy.

I think meeting someone for the first time is always nerve-wracking, regardless of the location.

As I female I feel safer going into a manned hotel and knowing I could scream for help if things went really tits up

I'd prefer to meet in a close by pub/coffee shop then back to the hotel if all was well.

Hotels too expensive if not meeting during the week.

Normal bar and if we like each other, back to hers or mine

I'd meet socially in the hotel bar, then take it futher if we both wanted to, after a couple of drinks and a chat.

I wouldn't go straight to someone's room, when we hadn't met socially first though.

No expectations social first... to establish chemistry.

I usually only meet once I've chatted and built a rapport with someone, and we both have a good idea of what we both want. Regardless, I don't take anything for granted on the first meet, so a bar or coffee shop is always best, with a nearby hotel as an option if things go well.

Good.

Met a woman for a blind date type meet (we both had a rough idea having chatted for a month or so). She booked the hotel and told reception to give me a card when I got there. Went up and we had the most amazing afternoon!!

Great on neutral territory as we both felt at ease.

Personally being a single woman, I wouldn't meet anyone in a hotel, I value my safety to much, especially a room booked my a man.

I wouldn't know who or how many were in the room.

Also I don't particularly want all the staff knowing what I am up to.

Believe me from working in a hotel they know.

As for the that do the hotel walks be careful as by the time you go down for breakfast in the morning most of the guys would have seen the CCTV footage.
