Asking to borrow condoms

Over the last year or so I have noticed that the amount of guys asking in clubs to borrow condoms has escalated. Now don’t get me wrong if a male or female friend asked, of course they can have one but if it is random, why have they not got some before attending the club or why have the not bought any at the club

Are the guys thinking that people will have unprotected sex just because they don’t have a condom?
