I remember at school back in the mid to late 80s my mates girlfriend told us she wanted anal.

It always was a thing, it was just illegal so no one talked about it. Heterosexual anal sex was a criminal offence, regardless of consent, until it was decriminalised for adults by an Act of Parliament in 1994.
