The other day I was talking to a colleague about skiing and holidays. She pointed that being a woman in her late 50's she was skiing as much as she could.

"Get the adventure in while I can" she said and gave a flirtatious smile. "Absolutely" I said in a conspiratorial way.

Have you noticed your confidence go up with age? A little bit of don't give a fuck?

I casually complement people a lot more now and it's always well received and usually results in a little flirt and banter. Maybe because I'm less nervous and the complements come across as more wholesome.

Do you find you are taking more opportunities in your 40s+?

I'm a bit beyond my 40's but I agree about the 'don't give a fuck' feeling. I don't have a job to worry about and feel happy and able to take very opportunity as it comes. Not just here either. Last week I went sailing in the Channel for the first time - wonderful.
