Does anyone ever feel shameful, that they live a swinging life.

Maybe as parents some do etc

There is no shame in having an active sex life, or having the belief that variety is the spice of life, and that no one can tick all the boxes, etc. etc., IMHO.

nope.. it's my lifestyle if those around me can't accept it.. then it's not my problem. I feel no shame if people find out.

Having a swinging life style is nothing shameful.

Its about having fun with like minded adults.

Bit like football but very few 0-0 draws.

More shameful would be playing away (cheating)

I don't do anything I'm ashamed of.

I think some people confuse being discrete about ones private life as being ashamed: major difference!

We're not ashamed but don't make it public knowledge.

It's a sad fact that people will judge you, and while at there is an element of "that's there problem", all it takes is for a few wagging tongues around the school gate, and social services are turning up at your door step.

So, no, not ashamed, but don't even want to risk the potential backlash from people who have nothing better to do.

I've had the tongues wagging and social services sent to my house... Eventually the tongues stopped wagging... It wasn't my choice to tell all but I see no point in hiding that I am into alternative lifestyles..

I feel very strongly about being forced to keep quiet about something I love and believe in!

I know people will judge me who cant understand but equally it may encourage some others to dip their toe in who had never heard of swinging before.

It has changed my life for the better in so many ways..I am evangelical about it.

I think England is still so influenced by The Victorians sexually. We need to move on and embrace alternative choices!!

some people seem to think that being open means expressing all you do.. I just admit my lifestyle.. both bdsm and swinging... Not details..

Some people simply believe not everything is for public consumption. For example I'm losing my hair and have spent a fortune on lace front wigs.

Nearly all my friends wear weaves, extensions, wigs etc and don't mind talking about it. I choose not to.

Admittedly, no one is going to make judgements on me for wearing a wig, and friends don't go into intricate details on their false hair choices...but I'm sure you get the point I'm making.

I don't jam it down people's throats and tell them in gory details what I get up to in my free time.

Whether they approve/not approve of my choices how I spend my free time has no bearings on how I live my life as I see fit.

"part of me does sometimes, its the way i was brought up."

I agree but it doesn't stop me. Living in a very rural area amongst a lot of nosey people I just like to keep my private life private.
