.

When describing a perfect Man its probably not far from the true,

But if you add looks, personality, status and wealth that 20% will be less

I believe women are free to choose whoever the fuck they like,it's nothing to do with us, regardless of the ratio.

No, I'd say it's way closer to 95/5. Most people don't fancy most people. Do you fancy more than 20% of the people you see every day?

I think the gap of attractiveness would be a lot closer if make up didn’t exist and men focused on they’re looks more. But also things like height play a factor in attractiveness fir women and not so much for men.

There is loads of factors that are important when I choose my play partners. Most have nothing to do with the looks (apart from height- I am heightist, I'm not attracted to short men) but everything to do with personality and how they communicate. Also, with how they treat me, whether they see me as a person or just a selection of holes to unload into.

There are 14.5% of men above 6ft so I guess there is your answer lol

I’ve heard this stat before, and while it may hold true on artificial constructs like Fab, out there in the really world, where the majority of people are neither swingers nor poly, wouldn’t it mean that 80% of all people are single? I might be being stupid of course, but I just don’t see the stats replicated in the world around me. Everyone I know is in a relationship of one kind or another. Everyone. They can’t all be in the 20%.

I am perfectly happy with 5'8 or 5'9, they don't have be over 6ft. It's the personality and attitude that matters.

That sounds like an oversimplification, and it doesn't really capture the full complexity of relationships and attraction. While it's true that certain qualities might be more attractive to some people, saying that 80% of women only like 20% of men overlooks the diversity of preferences and connections that people have. Attraction is about more than just percentages or societal standards

Could it be that people settle? Just for the companionship

So most women settle for second, third or fourth best?

What's the ratio the other way round. I used to notice that there were always popular women that most men made a bee line for.

Hannah Fry touched on this interesting statistic. Google Search Hannah Fry OK Cupid.

The creators of OK Cupid dating website were PHD mathematicians / statisticians and ran a few experiments with the lie website users. Men, on average found most women attractive - producing a normal symmetrical bell curve distribution. Women on the otherhand had skewed results - on average, women did not find all men attractive which kind of agreed with the supposition that women were attracted to a small number of men.

Some might settle for companionship, but that doesn’t mean they’re unhappy. Attraction isn’t just about looks or status, it grows with emotional connection and shared values. What seems like settling to one person might be genuine happiness to another.

I don't think entering a relationship for companionship is settling. There are loads of different ways to have a successful and fulfilling relationship

It sounds like this was based purely on physical appearance.

Men are very visual, whereas what women find attractive tends to be more complex and individual.

I might find a person physically attractive but if I don't like them or their views, it's not happening.

Relationships in real life are much more complicated than simple physical attraction.
