Problem being where we live, if the weather is warm, all the place are filled with dog walkers, grannies and kids unless you go at stoopid o' clock then run the risk of being nabbed by the pollis, and in the winter the dog walkers, grannies amd kids have all pissed off but then its too bloody cold and your there sat on ya own

"

It pretty much depends on what you've been doing, how you react to them and how they feel.

Sometimes they'll laugh it off. Sometimes they'll follow you home and sit outside your house with their rooflights going. Sometimes you'll find yourself reported to the fiscal, charged and, if convicted, possibly fined and placed on the Sex Offender Register.

by law, you cannot be charged by any policeman for being in your car at a doggin venue (so long as its not trespassing), even if your there intentionally or not, only if you are not engaged in any intimate scenario. tho if you are caught, then its down to the character of the officer who rumbled you in action.....they are all different.

i do agree with the posts about the weather tho. but this is where having a mate with a transit van comes in wink wink haha

Mostly the polis are fine.

Occasionally you'll get some officious or jealous bastard who'll see it as his duty to give your car the once over - they can usually find something wrong if they set their minds to it.

usualy in them situations depending on the type of locking nut thats fitted i bash a socket on it and take it off that way or use a gator grip socket.

in this weather have a look for the towing eye front and rear of your vehicle...most have a screw in eye bolt but most people dont know where it is as they have never had to use it .

check it out before the weather catches you out

Well we aint doggers as such but we did visit a well known location out this way 1 night on our way back from a club just to see what goes on.

Upon our arrival at the spot a car seemed to come from knowhere and draw along side with a couple in it. Must admit by this time we both had started laughing rather a lot for some reason.

We did not notice a second car enter the carpark until it pulled right across the front of both of our cars blocking us in. It was at that point i noticed some humps on the roof of the car. This only caused us to laugh even more when we realised it was the Gistapo.

Here we are sat in a soft top 2 seater car in the dead of night and blocked in by plod ???

Plod gets out the car and comes over with 20 questions like do i own the car, have i been drinking ect and all we can do is roll about laughing. Eventually the cop gets to the crunch question as to why we are here only to be met with more laughter from us.

Eventually i think he thought he better help us out and said "is it for courting couple purposes" (very copper speak) well all this did was make us laugh more but he did get a nod from me in agreement. I think around this time he knew he was not gonna scare us and was sick of us laughing all the time he just told us to go.

Our first and last dogging venture but we still laugh about it.

Steve

AFAIK you have to be "seen" doing something that could be considered by someone as offensive etc.

In reality, the police constable can be the person thats offended ( doesn`t have to be a member of the public complaining ) so if he can`t see you or you are not doing anything offensive he hasn`t really got much of a case

A recent episode of a road police programmes showed the police approaching a car that was very steamed up. The conversation after they spoke to the occupants and said that it might be better finding somewhere else, went along the lines that they themselves didn`t know if it could be considered offensive because the steamy windows meant they couldn`t see anything....I know they would have a hard time in court if they didn`t know if an offence had been committed or not...lol

I have never been dogging but in my younger days as a taxi driver I quite often parked in laybys, outside houses or anywhere I could "collect my fare" to be honest.

A number of times I was approached by the Police and on every occasion they first established that the female present was happy with the situation and not being forced in any way then basically had a good laugh as they left.

One female police office walked away and as she did so quipped "make sure you get the full fare from her"

Most Police officers are decent with you if your doing no harm and are decent to them.

There are exceptions to every rule.

you can get registered as if you having fun outside your car they look at it as exposing in public... some coppers just laugh others will do anything to get into "goodbooks" of their bosses... we have given up on dogging a) all sites overrun by boyracers b) coppers checking these sites.. and last its either cold no one there or packed with grannies and their dogs....

That’s only because they done it in brood daylight though, in front of horse riders which included children.

Even the judge said

"If it had even been a more secluded spot or if they had remained in the vehicle, that would have been a different matter."

You are correct, on Irvine beach during the day in full view of parents and kids.

And the funny thing is the couple that were caught were cheating on the their partners to go and have their fun together in the public eye, you couldn't make it up

Lol well now we have the full story completly different. Having said that how could it be classed as dogging if it was only the couple and they where having sex on the beach??

Again, according to the local paper.

(name of fiscal) prosecuting at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, said uniformed police in an unmarked car saw 'suspicious activity' in a parked (colour and make of car).

(name of fiscal) told Kilmarnock Sheriff Court: 'There appeared to be other cars whose drivers were sharing an active interest in the activities of the accused.

'Police saw the accused both get out of the car, take a blanket out and put it on a grassed area. The police then saw them perform a sex act simultaneously while the people in the other vehicles were looking on.

'The accused were perfectly aware they had an audience.'

Please don't forget that the laws in Scotland are different from the laws in England.

And to be arrested, in broad daylight, would constitute a lewd and obscene act here. But it is unlikely that an English court would put you on a Sex Offenders Register for going dogging at midnight.

Dogging is generally held at night.....

Those that go dogging in the day, in spots where they can be seen by 'normal' members of the public and possibly children, get everything they deserve.

If a court was to start putting doggers onto a sex offenders register, they would only serve to push that form of enjoyment further underground and possibly ensure that the 'harmless' doggers had to look for another activity.

Fairly counter-productive when the police know where the dogging spots are and can control the action (to a point) if they wish to.

We have been caught. There had been reports of a woman heard screaming in the woods we were in, and no it wasn't my wife. We ended up with a helicopter hovering above us a dog section van and a police car in the car park. My wife at this time was hastily trying to put some clothes back on discreetly which isn't easy. One of the guys who had been watching spoke to the police officers and after confirming that everything was ok with us he apologised for disturbing us and they all went on their way . My wife vowed that would be the last time we ever went out, didn't last long though.

So there are good police forces out there and we seem to have one that is very tolerant of safe outdoor activity

We tried dogging but found the sites too busy with cars in and out shining lights etc, we now prefer quiet spots and meets by arrangement, have met quite a few nice guys from Fab for this "park and play"

My interpretation of the law on sex outdoors is that it's only an offence if a member of the public see's the act and is offended or if the act took place in such a place or at a time when a member of the public may be offended.

ie 10pm on a dark night in a secluded place being ok? Obviously if the police were to appear one would need to be very sheepish and apologetic otherwise the bastards would no doubt find something to pin on you lol

So if you happened upon one of these arranged meets, what would you call it then Jim?

The thing about dogging is, every time you come across some action how do you/we know that it hasn’t been arranged by the people already there?

The essence of dogging is the unpredictability and the frisson people derive from that. Not knowing who, if anyone, will show up and not knowing what, if anything, will happen.

I suppose you could argue that someone who stumbles across an organised meet is a dogger but there's still no way those who planned the meet are dogging, however trendy they think dogging is.

unfortunately jim its evolved just like swinging has, you can also argue by its own defenition that couples showing are not doggers either so does it make a difference if arranged a meet as they weren't doggers to start with, they go to be dogged, arranged or not.

Oh and Jim we agree with most of what your saying, we’ve in the past asked in the feedback forum for an Outdoor Sex interest/category but it went unanswered, there’s probably loads on here who like Outdoor Sex but have no interest in actual Dogging, but as this site is that’s the closest and only category to describe having sex outdoors.

We are big fans of outdoor fun however we tend to go off for a walk in the country and find our own quiet spot I.E. a clearing in the woods and not a public car park, Lolly would never be up for that. I have been dogging a few times both pre arranged and turn up and see and all the people i have met that way would consider themselves doggers. The main thing that puts us off these days isnt the police but the underage people that we have found in doging spots.

Basically as has been said someone must be offended by the act being performed.

however there is the other side for a watcher if the people being watched do not want be watched. Basically the old peeping tom scenario. The best idea is to go somewhere out of the way most of the 'advertised' dogging sites get heavily policed because of complaints, either about number of cars, activity when dog walkers and the like are around or left condoms/wrappers. Single guys going have an excuse worked out if pulled when parked up the migrane because of bright car lights is a good one because you can't drive at that time but will be ok in about twenty minutes. And the majority of the sites up here aren't good any more because of over advertisement and excessive policing
