Mrs here with adhd, I can't tell when women are flirting with me but I can read menlike a book. But, I did only come out a few years ago so not had too much practice with ladies.

ADHD and ASD here. I can get very hyper-fixated on here so have to be careful. Hubby helps alot. I think a lot of neurodiverse people are in the life style

Adhd and Asd my ability to either sustain the conversation as I get distracted with other stuff or recognising when someone is being sarcastic or genuine it makes me reluctant to use this site because messaging doesn't work for me I need to see your facial expressions and body language to gauge sincerity over sarcasm

I don’t find it difficult to socialise or make conversation, however I’m completely oblivious to it when people flirt me. Thankfully I have lots of lovely friends who give me the heads up, otherwise I would never get laid!

I’ve never related to a thread so much in my life.

I’m horrible at starting a conversation and feel I come across awkward in most situations at first. Once I get a conversation going, I have no problem keeping it going. Unless they don’t. Miss all the “ques” as well.

In my comfort zone I’m the complete opposite.

I’m pleased (but not) that I’m not alone in this.

I try A LOT to strike up a dialogue via messages and get nowhere so sometimes I revert to a wink instead to reduce the risk of my RSD kicking in.

I recently winked at someone who then replied with a message telling me I’m immature, and basically a twat for winking and not messaging. They also blocked me so I couldn’t even respond. This was a few weeks ago now and I still haven’t got over it!

For me, I do go to clubs when I can and I’m much better at striking up a conversation in person although it still feels awkward.

Not sure where I’m going with this lol but thought I’d share.

Oh, and us in the neurodivergent community do rule the world, even if we do struggle with relationships.

Oh my god you don't know how good it feels to know I'm not the only one that struggles with this. I can find it so hard to read the tone of a message.

I have autism and dyslexia, and by the way who thought it would be a good idea to use a spelling like dyslexia for people who struggle with this.

That makes you a normal writer. Have you tried writing stuff and paste it into Google's Notebook LM online?

This way you can see your words via their AI's eyes and even have a podcast review on what you wrote.

This is good for positive feedback and it might shift the dreaded blank page phobia, that blocks writers' output.
