Photoshop pics....Yes or No?

It's hardly fair is it? those that use photoshop for profile pictures, it's obvious when it comes to meeting people for fun there is going to be an element of disappointment.

We have seen some stunning tv/tg pics where the boobs look real.... and it's clear these guys do not have them in the flesh.

We would love to meet and have fun with a true transgender person, one with all the body parts for real! So does this person exist on here?

So how do others feel about photoshop pics.... nice to perv over but please please let us see the real body if serious about meeting in the flesh. Airbrushed pics are the same... just be yourselves and have fun.

No photoshop!

Need to see what we're really meeting. None of our photos are altered in any way, but my wife knows how to angle the camera for more flattering shots.

There's a difference betwen manipulating the 'substance' of the image to present a false representation of the subject matter, and cropping, removing distracting object in the background, blurring a identifiable tatt, adjusting the contrast etc.

INHO -

The former should be a definite no.

The latter - acceptable practise if you haven't managed to get your shot 'right in camera'

I'll gladly admit to editing both my own and others pics that i've taken for them.

For several reasons. Cropping, colour adjustment, blurring the focus to highlight certain areas and bring attention to certain aspects.

Also tattoo removal, hiding faces, distinguishing birthmarks and scars, and believe it or not - removing rings and other forms of jewellery - all of which are done to meet the site rules of hiding the identity of others in pictures. The alternative? Sticking a huge black box or circle over faces and other aspects of the picture - which quite frankly in my opinion looks crap!

Not once have I altered the body shape, boob/cock size or tried to 'digitally surgically enhance' anyone in a picture.

And if people view that as 'cheating' or mis-representing myself or others in my pictures - i'm with Professor xxx on how much I care!

So far - I've never been told "You look nothing like your pictures" upon meeting others, either for fun or socials. And i've seen more than my fair share of badly taken, blurry pics that would make Ann Widdecombe look like Megan Fox.

So don't assume that picture editing is in any way trying to mislead. If anything - you'll get a far more accurate image of those you're looking at!

i photoshop...its merely enhancing...almost in the same way that people put makeup on

we all enhance ourselves somehow, even our odors are 'enhanced'- aftershaves/perfumes.. they dont exatctly detract from the person themselves

I suppose if I'm gonna be equally in favour of people photoshopping..I'd also say i find unedited pics pretty boring..as my interest is in photography also and if people are trying to sell themselves via pics its a bit lazy if they dont edit..thats IF they wanna/or need to sell themselves

Think it depends on what is done in photoshop. If it's the enhance the actual picture, fair enough. If it's to enhance the people in the picture then think you have to be careful. There are some pics on here that the people in them have a completely false, flawless, smooth, perfectly even complexion - softened within an inch of it's life. That's just wrong..

This! Don't use photoshop, use Lightroom, however my pictures are a true representation of me!

If you shoot in raw you have to process the image and add definition.

People say I look even better in real life than my pictures!

Also the only problem I see with pictures on here is people using 10 year old ones!

We use photoshop Lightroom etc but to make our photos look good not to change who we are there are surely more photo issues on here than photoshop? Ten year old photos, other people's photos used to hide behind god the horrible scanned ones that turn up!

We look as we do in our photos warts and all we just take our photos from the best angles to hind our hideous deformities lol xx

Personally I use photos as a guide. I never play on a first meet and always meet socially in daylight first.

Thereby I can use the lenses the good Lord gave me to make a real life judgement for myself.

My eyes haven't failed me yet!

Photoshop is a very powerful tool that can completely transform an image, in the right hands. However, just because a picture has been processed in Photoshop doesn't make it false. It might simply have been used to tweak the contrast.

Obviously, if someone changes their look completely then that's not a fair representation of themselves, but there is nothing wrong with using Photoshop per-se.

Personally, I use Lightroom to process my photos, adjusting the RAW images for white balances, contrast, etc. Nothing wrong with that - it's the digital equivalent of developing film.
