Unrealistic ? Or just me ?

Hello All,

Is it just me or do more and more messages run in the following, to me, unrealistic veins :

1) "I have no pictures on Fab but I will send you some by email or phone if you give me your email address and phone number"

Of course, I am happy to give my email and phone number to random internet strangers of whom I know nothing but one brief message on here.

2) People have no pictures on Fab, yet they expect you to drop all at once and meet without any exchange of photographs, " I/we are nice and we are sure you will like us/me ".

Sorry it's not blind date !

I had one of these lately. We'd swapped a few messages, although he did seem a bit 'off', and I pointed out my profile requested a face pic as mine are on show. He replied along the lines of 'I don't give out face pics but the many women I've met all say I am good looking'. Well that's ok then! If women you've met say you are good looking then you must be. The fact you are expecting me to meet you without knowing what you look like is so totally reasonable!

Being approached by a couple looking to meet couples and they have pics of only the woman on the profile still tops the list of annoyance for me. Closely followed by "new to this will put some pics up soon" when its obvious they joined more than a year ago.

Its annoying for everyone who gets those messages. I get a few just saying 'Face pic? X' even though I state to send me one if messaging, and I wouldn't dream of sending one like that. Guess it helps genuine people stand out eventually though...

It does work both ways as I have had a guy with no pictures want to send his face one by email and I won't give mine out so we won't be meeting. Been here a year and not verified so guess others, even those on his friends list feel the same.

Quite a few give me their mobile number on a first message expecting me to ring them which shows they clearly haven't read my profile

Yeah this seems to be happening more often, worse still the site doesnt seem to want to void itself of such types.

The minimum for us to even meet for a social is, photo on profile, photo verified, exchange of messages and or chatting in the chat room.

We dont bother with anything less.

Have to have a face pic,, got them on my profile tho I got told the other day I was brave having them there lol,,,, why? We are all members for the same reason are we not.

I'm not too bothered about having face pics on here but wouldn't do naked ones with my face on show because of my job. But look on the bright side if you do meet them and haven't seen there face they could be one of the Undateables and turn up with a film crew...next step Hollywood

Just seen an unreasonable one from a demanding couple stating send us your face pic and then ' we don't send ours'!! Who do they think they are!

Blocked a guy for that the other day. Anyone who asks for an email address or mobile number just to send face pics get's blocked without a 2nd thought. - Unless you're using fake pictures, there is NO reason you can't take a minute to upload ONE pic to your private gallery.

As if I'm gonna give out my personal details to someone I've not even agreed to meet yet. Probably end up with random calls from guys who've seen your number written on the back of toilet doors or something.
