Because its personal choice!

And of course - as has been often pointed out - regardless of whether someone should be 'embarrassed', 'ashamed' or 'proud' to be engaged in this lifestyle - the views and opinions of others - family, friends and employers, still matters.

Plus those who would run the risk of unemployment should their employers find out. Many contracts have strict guidelines regarding public image, maintaining a respectable profile in the business community and not causing any reputation all risk to the company. Plus a variety of public sector jobs frown upon activities such as this - much in the same way as they view political posts in twitter and d*unken rambling on bookface!
