Are you needy? Do you seek attention whether it's positive or negative. I've come to realise I want to be needed, which in turn has made me realise its me thats needy

I think most of us need to know that someone wants or needs us in some way. I suppose neediness comes in when it becomes over bearing. I wouldn't say that needing to be needed is 'neediness' though.

That's good to hear, maybe it's because the kids have moved out and are doing their own thing. I have empty nest syndrome and don't feel needed

You've done a good parenting job raising independent people, they still need you just not in the same way
