So I'm just wondering why people in this day and age still pay for porn when the Internet is full of every type you an imagine, for free.

Podcasts are also free but some people choose to support the creator for extra content or sometimes just the enjoyment of rewarding someone for their work.

I guess the hope for most people with OF is that they are paying direct to the person (minus OFs fee) compared to porn where the stars will be taking a small slice of the income.
