"Fake couples" accounts?

Seems to have been a lot of bad blood on this forum recently and accusations flying about that a lot of couples profiles are apparently not what they seem?!?!

While we're not denying there certainly are fake profiles, fantasists, and dreamers on here - of all sexes, men women and couples are all equally guilty - the numbers some put on fake couple accounts on here seem absolutely staggering and not what we've encountered at all.

The majority of our chats/dealings with couples on here have been overwhelming positive and we feel a bit doubtful some of the numbers paraded around claiming couples are fake we've seen - 60%, 70% - seem quite high. We've also seen people outright critiquing couple profile verifications claiming they're fake as well (which is ironic, as when we joined this site it all seemed to be all about being verified, verified and verified again or you weren't welcome!).

Now, it may be different within the circles of you who exclusively meet in swingers clubs compared to the wider network of this site...?

What "criteria" do you personally apply to an account before deciding you think it's not kosher?

Not looking to start any arguing, just genuinely interested at why some people claim the figures are that high, and your own personal experiences?

Titz Towers, North Notts

Tgirl - absolutely no pics of them in glam mode, no veris from people I know and they are sketchy about which bars they go to.

Single female/male - pics too good to be true, all taken in America, reverse image search says no, single female wants me to go to theirs for a first meeting.

Couples - much of the above regarding dubious pics, male only available EVERY time they message about a meet or a phone call.

I do get part of a couple message me to arrange a meet for Mr, sometimes it's her, sometimes it's him, but in essence whilst that just relegates him to a single male, but doesn't make them not a real couple.

It could be a case of single males making couples profiles then targeting new couples and it could also be a case of more established couples not interacting with new couples. That could explain why some are seeing much higher numbers of profiles that’s not right

Totally agree with OP. When I read complaints like that, I chuckle.

It's usually those couples own failure to spot the profiles "to avoid".

The complainers usually get focused on the 'too good to be true' profiles and pictures and ignore the hundreds of real couples that, because they are not attractive to them, they don't matter and not counted as real. Only the sexy ones matter and only engage with those and when these turn out to be a fiasco, then they complain all couples are fake.

Difficult to say what's fake or not fake, but it's easy to spot the couples that are best to approach with caution:

Sketchy veris / super attractive but hardly any meets / long time in Fab but little to account for / weeks since last time they logged in / both straight but looking for single women / chat geared to photo exchange rather than meeting / etc etc

TinaTitz gave a great example of how to filter in her context. We have our own way, and still finding so many real couples in Fab that i do not see the point to count the so called fake ones.

that’s not what we’ve found we actually avoid couples that look to good to be true maybe we do need more experience on here to help us spot the fake couples but that’s something that will come in time
