I’ve arranged a meet for today, but not heard back from her since last week when I’ve asked to confirm location and if she’s still coming.

Depends how far from my house and how inconvenient it'd be to get there, if it was in the local pub probably, worst case scenario you get a pint and no harm done

If it seems too good to be true , it probably is. I would want to confirm address before travelling. If it's just up the road, I'd probably go. If it's any distance or inconvenience, probably not without a confirmation message or phone call.

Ladies and sometimes couples often arrange to meet a number of people to meet with and pick one at the last minute.

We arranged a general location for the social, and a time, but when I’ve asked to confirm which coffee shop she meant, nothing back…..

it’s only 5 mins from my work so I’ll probably rock up in hope!!

Even though it’s only 5 minutes away I wouldn’t turn up. If she hasn’t messaged you since last week i would block and move on.

I agree.

Also a big part of the excitment of a meet is the flirting before the actual meet. It maybe just a coffee social/no sex happening type meet but still, i'd be thinking, its not happening with no contact.

I had that a while back. It was an hour drive to the meet. So txt just before I left, no reply. So decided to go back to work. An hour later I had txt from her saying can we meet later on. I replied yes what time. Again it took her over an hour to reply. At that point I had had enough. So many time wasters out there.

We are in this very position with another couple we have been speaking to for a couple of months.

Meant to be meeting them in Saturday night in a hotel, sent them 2 messages in the last 2 weeks, one saying we were looking forward to it, and another offering our phone number for them to confirm if they are still going, we have seen they have been online but no message, so as far as we are concerned it's not happening

I only meet locally if I'm unsure they'll turn up. If they've been offline for a few hours then I'd assume it's a no show but I've never not turned up. I don't care if they don't show. I'll have a nice coffee and some peaceful me time 😇

No contact on the day would mean we aren’t going to bother.

If there is no contact on the build up to a social we wouldn’t bother.

The build up is part of the fun for us so if it’s sporadic beforehand it’s not going to improve.

And the OP said he may not know the exact location but a coffee shop 5 mins from his work. So i'd grab a coffee and see. Its 5 mins out the way, no biggie if they dont show really.
