Travel & Distances

I’m curious to discover how far other Fab users travel when it comes to ‘meets’?

I’m pretty open minded in terms of distance if the ‘chemistry’ is right - have travelled a couple of hours or so (in the pre-pandemic good times!).

How do others approach travel and distance, when the right people aren’t based in their immediate neighbourhood? What are your limits?

We're expanding our mindset on this, we feel we've exhausted our options locally so need to travel further afield.

The only issue is that normally one of us cannot drink so we can drive back and one social turns into a full blown night out. Feels a bit presumptuous to book a hotel for a social!

Normally if we can't make it work logistically, we aim to meet at a mutual club..

didtance dosent bother me and i love driving anyway..travelodge always very reasonable if i want to stay in the area, but usually i'll drive home.

the way i see it 70 miles and hour on a motorway in a couple of hours your 140 miles from home and near your destination.

Don't think distance should really come into it unless miles and miles.

If after speaking and maybe a phone call or facetime and both people still want to rip the others clothes off after a few social drinks who cares how far it is

Flexible. Not so much distance as time. Hour or under preferred. However, for the right person I’d break my own rule

We chose not to meet too close to home, and have travelled up to a couple of hours for a meet. I very rarely drink so don't mind driving which helps

Used to travel 30 mins pick her up , few hours at mine then take her safely home. Did that for over a year. And would again if she asked.

If I gave a great connection with someone distance doesn't come in to it. In all honesty I'm more likely to say no to someone local I dread the thought of bumping into someone when out popping to the shop lol

It more about the time, anything more than an hour away undesirable as we normally only have a small window for fun.

We've been long distance for the last year, until a few weeks ago. A 6hr commute each way has been a killer, but some of the meets have definitely been worth it

I'm thinking 1.5 hours is our limit really.

We always prefer to try and meet half way where possible.

I never used to mind travelling to meets, furthest was Southend from Putney.

These days prefer guys to be local or at least pick me up and drop me back home after our fun.

Depends on a few factors, really.

Hook-up: Local only. No more than a quick bus ride across town. Definitely not exceeding an hour. I'd be half asleep by the time I get there, as journeys make me sleepy. 😂

FWB: Absolutely no problem travelling, because we would likely be hanging out as well. So it's more of an occasion to see a friend, than just sex (even if it just ends up being that lol).

I'm okay with doing most of the travel to meet FWB. I don't have many responsibilities and more freedom than most. Gets me out of the house as well. 😅

If we're far apart, after a certain amount of distance, meeting halfway and going halves on a hotel room would be the best option. Again though, happy to travel the entire way if we were to spend a substantial amount of time together. Like a weekend or something.

Ultimately, it just needs to be worthwhile for both of us and can be adjusted however until it suits.

I am not currently looking for anything, but even when I was, I only wanted to meet people who lived no more than an hour drive from me. I only had a few hours free after work, did not want to spend most waiting for the person to arrive (I don't drive). And I was not allowing anyone to stay overnight, my nights were (and still are) for sleeping, preferably on my own.

Am guessing we are talking first time meets.

MM meets no more than 20mins... Classic cum and go release.

MF or MMF meets I have travelled hour and a half, and meets last much longer as well (and well worth it).

After first meet, happy to travel further if required, as you know what you are getting, and not a time waster.

Distance is not an issue once i have confirmed a definite meeting and location, i ask for a contact phone number by giving them mine first, lastly i ask them to ensure the landing lights are switched on on their helipad, this can be a bit of a deal breaker when they say they don't have a dedicated hard helipad, however they do have a field next door which is usually ok

We set a reasonable limit we think, 45 minutes or so driving.

Any longer and she would feel guilty if there wasn’t a spark of interest once she meets them.

It does happen sadly. All seems well online and then when you meet there’s an issue.

Sometimes the guy doesn't fancy her too.

Well I find myself in the position of needing to find a new car as mine has turned out to be more of a turkey and less of a phoenix. As in there's no rising from the ashes this time. So distance is a bit of an issue at this time.

I used to say about an hour was the max, and have done that a few times. Then I got lazy having met a couple 20 minutes away, but now that's ended, I'm thinking distance no object for the right people. I can afford hotels so why not get around and see the country whilst I still can.
