Unreliable meets

Recently I arranged a meet who wasn't reliable, this is very frustrating and I don't understand why people do this! The time people take in messaging and arranging times to suit, then the time to get ready and go to arranged place is just wasted. It really causes genuine people to lose faith here. Does anyone else think this?

Site will be frustrating for lots of people, just imagine the amount of people who bother to write out individual messages, based on what they have read on people's profiles, only for them to remain yellow in people's inbox.

You have to decide what's worth pursuing and not take it all to seriously

I arranged 3 meets last week.

All three set a time and date. Then it came to the day and none of them logged on here, none replied to texts and obviously none of them showed up.

I think it’s best to do spontaneous meets on the day. I’ve found that people tend to flake out when they plan ahead. I suspect many who say they’ll meet in future don’t actually want to meet, they just say it to string a conversation out of you while they wank

Thank you for your reply, I haven't taken it personally. I think it's a shame for genuine people who want to meet. I'm not new to this and I do understand how the site works, what I don't understand is people who have no intention of meeting but arrange a meet knowing they won't show up. It's a waste of time and energy.

I rarely use the site to arrange any meets to be honest, I prefer the clubs to meet genuine people.

Unfortunaltly some get off on the whole idea of a meet and the build up etc, probably have a wank and then it all fizzes out!

Would be great to have a scoring system as you say to distinguish the genuine from the time wasters, i.e. don't turn up to three meets and you're red flagged.

That's a good idea in theory but I don't know how they would stop someone creating a new account. It really is a shame, there are some really good people in the swinging community and these people are ruining it.

Reliability is an issue!

You have people who are just cracking on no issues. Others who intend on wasting time for a myriad of reasons and then others who swear they’d always turn up etc but sadly theyre usually not your type.

Sorry this has happened OP theres no easy fix. X

It’s something that’s always annoyed me, I have a reputation for turning up and only very very rarely had to dip out and always with as much notice as I could. Might help that I’m single , I guess a proportion of meets include at least someone with a partner and things obviously change lol.

It’s more annoying for a blokes women get a lot more opportunity than a guy.

My sympathies , can’t see it’ll get any better I’m afraid

Yes I'd like to think I'm one of them, so completely agree.

You're right about creating another account, but I'm sure a mixture of lots of good verifications and the no red flag would be a good measure. Starting a new account would mean no verifications.

It would probably mean they'd have to start with club meets and build up the profile "maturity" but if they're genuine shouldn't be an issue.

Not the first time a hotel has been booked and guys have failed to turn up.

Definitely just as annoying for women, when you think it can take a fair amount of time to get ready to look how we want to for meets. Often more opportunities are just more no shows....

I dont even get replies to messages for simple requests anymore yet one answers because you believe you can offer something to that person and it may not even be sexual.if i was invited i would be round yours like a shot,but it take me a day or two to get there.

Funniest one I had was sat in the car with my female kink buddy and we saw a set of headlights pull into a layby a bit back from us and I sussed it was the guy who had arranged to meet up.

His next message was between the lines he was getting cold feet. I just messaged him back and said he had put all the effort in to getting this far, why bottle it at the last minute.

Was a good meet up after that.

There have always been dreamers and fantasists on here and always will be. My kink buddy and I got reasonably good at spotting the likely no-shows and ended up meeting some brilliant people from here but even with the ing out there were still a fair few surprises with reasons for not showing up.

It would take me a fair time to get ready to go out when you take into account showering, shaving meticulously, douching and dressing. All I can say is we usually had a fun time even if the meet didn't turn up.

On our end it is very important to respect others time. Especially since we have to plan in advance, sometimes weeks.

IF something comes up we communicate it as soon as possible.

It happens all the time. And no, not all single guys are to blame The variety if the last minute excuse I've heard followed by a block... unreal. I think the only way would be to name and shame. Forum should have a thread on it.

Some on here have fantasies and never plan to meet, I don't travel for new people.

Some have a wobble after arranging, I don't mind that if they say sorry and let me know they have changed their mind.

It's part of being on fab.

Name and shame would become a weapon, I do look at verification, if none are displayed I think why are they hiding them.

I think I've been fortunate, that all meets I've had have all turned up. I've been messaged by a few time wasters but could gauge that before arranging anything thankfully. If I've arranged something I definitely make sure I'm there the first meet it's only polite if someone else as made an effort for me even if it's just a coffee or drink and not a play meet. Things do crop up where things might need rearranging, but a message giving as much notice as possible doesn't waste anyone's time and takes a couple of minutes to do
