Play couples compared with couples.

We’re a play couple and very open about it but seem to find a lot of couples won’t meet because we’re not a ‘couple’ in the vanilla world. Which we find quite strange as we’re all here for the same thing. J has full consent to the point of I socialise with her other half and he’s fine. Should we just say we’re a ‘couple’ ?

Thoughts please.

I wasn't having a pop, I just think that's the answer. Lots of couples want to meet people like them, or at least people they imagine to be like them. A "traditional" couple, so to speak.

Some people want to be covered in baked beans and licked clean. Honestly, there's all sorts.

We’ve been here long enough to realise there’s someone from every ‘walk of life’ 😉

I totally get what you’re saying but slightly frustrating when everything goes well until they realise we’re a ‘fab couple’ even tho it was on our profile. Shame as we all got on so well up to that point. I guess I’m just questioning how important is it to be a couple instead of a fab couple?

Couples (in vanilla world) are a safer bet for most.. chances of feelies are lower being one of them.

Ok thanks. So couples who are actually couples, not fab couples, are less likely to get feelings for the couple they’re playing with, as they’re already in a committed relationship. Whereas fab couples are still looking in effect, although they could both be in committed relationships separately. I get where you’re coming from totally.

Absolutely agree. That’s not what anyone wants.

We’re totally transparent and her husband knows and encourages, but, I can see where others may doubt it without contacting him. It’s a difficult one. Is there a solution? We just try our best.

Solution? No as it's peoples preferences and you are not going to change that no matter what.

Just be transparent and if it's for them great and if not no bother, I mean we wouldn't even question a couple personally so it wouldn't even come up, not that it would bother us anyway if it did.

So my verdict :

You are out as a couple, that's what you are unless specifically asked.

It's not upto you to bring up every possible thing that someone else may have a view upon, it's upto them to let you know really and make sure they ask. That's on them not you.
