Since I'm ( Mrs.) American I definitely say ass. I would feel silly saying arse, as that isn't how I speak normally. I feel like it would seem like I'm trying to put on a British accent... nobody wants that as when I do, I sound like a cockney from 1892... 'ello Governor... 😆 It evens out though as My British husband sounds like Forest Gump when he tries to put on an American accent
