Wow, that brutal OP... I'm not sure there'd be any coming back from that for me.

As I sit here thinking I'd like to think I'd have the presence of mind to retort with something like, "You're right, it'd be like stirring a cavernous barrel with a spoon." before walking off and chatting to someone else.

Fortunately I've never met someone quite that obnoxious and rude and hopefully never will.
