I've said it before and I'll say itr again, there is a very simple reason why some people have a huge problem with fakes and for others they barely register.

Instead of ranting, people need to take a little more responsibility for their own actions.

No, you can use filters to stop them contacting you, but not to stop them viewing"
..They should Block them from seeing your pics and profile,add min sort it out Please,you can block someone but they can still see your pics

Ask for a quick phone chat as soon as you get chatting online. If they are worried, pass them your number, if they choose so, they can call withheld.

if you get the "cant chat, children are in the room" then ask yourself, wtf are they doing on an adult site with kids in the room, or the mother in law, or the local priest etc !!

Play safe... no phone chat then suspect something may be amiss xxx

If you block a specific profile then they can;t see anything on your profile.

If you set filters it stops people messaging you.

If you are that bothered about your pics set them all to private

Depends on peoples rooms really.. I have an l shape through lounge and if my son is in front the tv he can't see what's on the computer screen. If he comes my way there is a minimise button!

If I'm on the phone however he can hear what's being said from anywhere in the room!

If you block them, they can't see anything on your profile unless they make a new profile specifically for the purpose of circumventing the block.

It isn't rocket science. And there is no way outside of the tools in place to pre-emptively prevent fakes from joining the site. The onus is on genuine users to learn to spot dodgy profiles and make their own decisions. Which funny enough includes use of......

......the BLOCK BUTTON.

.Your wrong there,we have looked at some profiles ourselves on here and it says this person has blocked you,but we could still see their pics but not their profile????????????????????

There is something that can be done....you report people who you think are fake and why and Admin can check it out.

Just because someone won't talk on the phone isn't a reason someone is fake though, we don't speak on the phone until we have decided on meeting.

I will paste on the next post what Admin say they do with reports.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
