"We wouldn't go to a club that didn't require ID. Potentially having a membership means there's something to lose if you cause issues so it's a good deterrent maybe. The only place we've encountered issues was at Rios, which is more of a spa but anyone can walk in off the street." I think it's more to do with how management deal with bad behaviour. Anyone can walk in off the street to Club Play (for example) too but rarely do any issues occur because of the way it's run.

"We prefer clubs with no membership fees, as there are many we've only been to once, so worked out expensive, whereas we go to The Attic whenever we can. " That makes plenty of sense and succinctly answers my post. Some attendees don't have a regular club at which they repeatedly return, so relaxed membership or clubs that ask for no more than ID seems very practical. 😊

"We’ve been to both kinds and met some lovely people and some dick heads at both. Member clubs claim to have some control over the people that attend and say they could be identified if needed. I’m rather dubious of this. It’s probably a condition of their licence though. " I share your doubt re who enters the club (membership required or not)

" Its only been the entrance fee no membership was needed on an organised club meets organised on the forums. being coupled up to others does help if your a single male. whilst these organised club meets also gives users chance to see the club itself, without paying membership. This has been my experience though.

"Evening all, What's the view of clubs which do not ask for membership or are relaxed about it? Does it make the swinging world a better place (or is it to its detriment). What say you?" As a single guy on the scene my first Club was the Attic. Partly due to location but mainly due to no membership and a reasonable entry fee. Which personally helped me to make the leap into trying clubs. Because why would you want to pay a big entry fee if you didn't know if it would be for you? I'm glad I went. I had a very successful night and never looked back. All thanks to the Attic having no membership. Mr

"The only place we've encountered issues was at Rios, which is more of a spa but anyone can walk in off the street." Rio's, like Bristol Gardens, isn't technically a swingers club at all. They just turn a blind eye (sometimes - others they get funny about it), and in my experience both land up being a bit worse for it. Also I burned my foot really badly in Rio's once so fuck them 😒

"I’ve been to 8 clubs as a single guy, some insisted on a membership fee, some didn’t. I’ve always avoided the clubs who ridiculously overcharged solo male membership fees as a matter of principle (£60 annually for a solo male, £10 lifetime for a couple, £5 lifetime for a single female at one club in particular is a genuine piss-take)… Overall, from my experiences, whether a club charges you a membership fee or not, does not mean you will feel any more welcome as a single guy. The ‘Penis Pound’ in the club’s coffers is more important than the person making the payment….. " Yes, fun before profit makes more sense - particularly when membership fees are financially steep!

Mr" The Attic is a good choice both for potentially good vibes and being reasonable from a financial angle. 😊

"I think its ok to ask for membership. What grates on my teeth is when single women is £10. Couples are £25 and single men are £80. Like one club i looked at last week. Thats not eqality. Lol " It's to deter lots of males, and to encourage couples and females to join/attend. If the pricing structure wasn't set this way it would be a cockfest.

" Not necessarily - a responsible club would set limits and ratios to keep things balanced. The pricing structure only prohibits less financially well off from attending and reinforces a myth that higher cost= better behaved men when often the opposite is true (make it too costly and some guys think they are entitled to something more).

" Absolutely this You don’t go to a swingers’ club as a single guy looking for equality pmsl! Feeling welcome is a big enough hurdle…..

"Evening all, What's the view of clubs which do not ask for membership or are relaxed about it? Does it make the swinging world a better place (or is it to its detriment). What say you?" Membership is often a requirement of the licence of the venue. Private members clubs have different licensing rules for both sex and alcohol depending on the council. If you like the club and it has nights you enjoy/might enjoy, stump it up. Consider it just a cost of the hobby and factor it in.
