When getting tested, who else finds it a pain to get the right amount of blood out of their finger required?

Mrs usually can't get the blood to stop it's a slice more than a prick.

Trouble is getting the tests.

try drinking more water I know when I have a blood test & the nurse is struggling to get some of my blood she says I need to drink more as I’m dehydrated it could be the same thing but trying to get blood out of your finger idk 😂

Before you prick you finger, soak your hands in a sink of hot water for 5 mins. Then swing your arms in a circular motion. You’ll get loads in seconds. More than enough

I tried those kits - for me it wasn’t getting blood out that was the problem, it was getting it into the sample tube.

Gave up and did it in person in the end.

Get a hot shower beforehand. I know it sounds simple but really works, use your middle finger and squeeze the base of your finger with your pinky and ring finger and squeeze downwards. Gets a good amount out quickly mate. Hope that helps

Too many times I’ve seen people nervous with the lancet. Too light a touch and it’ll just graze.

Confident push and you’ll fill the sample tube in a few squeezes.

NHS website, apply on line, do the tests at home and free post them back for results. Only takes a few days.
