Do any of you ever find yourselves sat debating if the decisions you have made in life were the right ones to make. I've spent alot of time lately thinking about my life and the fact I seem to be living with so many regrets and can't see a way forward, it's a horrible position to be in.

Its natural to look back especially when things haven’t turned out how you’d hoped

But it’s also important for me to look back on the things that were good as well and remind yourself of them

The truth is you can learn from your past but you can’t change it so why let it govern your future.

I agree, however it's more about living a regret that you currently live with, more so than those you made in the past.

Just sometimes can't see the tree from the woods or a way out

It is tough coming to terms with certain decisions, especially if they are very fresh. I really feel for you op and sorry you are going through it. Things may seem bleak now but they will improve and you will move on and grow to overcome these things. It's hard to see it now but have faith that this too shall pass x

It's good to be reflective and introspective sometimes but I find dwelling on the mistakes of the past (we've all made a few) isn't helpful or healthy.

I've got to 50 and through my own choices find myself in a lonely world just now. I can bemoan the bad decisions that led me to this point, or use their lessons to get to a better place. Two steps forward, one step back it seems.

Now, the fact you're here and posting this means you're actually making a good choice to seek advice and get clarity. Good for you buddy.

According to what I've read and learned, it might be an idea to set yourself some goals. Jim Rohn is great for goal setting.

And tgen, get around people already where you want to get to.

That must feel horrible.

The fact is you simply can't change the past and regret is wasted unless you use it to either make amends or ensure you don't make the same mistakes again.

We've each made some really daft decisions in life but oddly some of them eventually led to good things.

Yes and no

I’d make changes to at least 75% of my whole life if I could.So many things I wishI could tell my younger self

Then again would I even want to?

I feel if I did I would become a monster and I’m not joking about that.

So overall I’d say yes and no

I would like to make change but I also think that these events(some of them are exceptions) needed to happen.The alternative is too horrific to think about

Yes, but I try not to dwell upon them. Better to think of the future and focus on what you can do today or tomorrow to use the wisdom gained from those mistakes to make that future a happier one.
