We kind of got the feeling it was permanent. We went there as we were in the area and it was closed but looked to have been taken over by a roofing company. We loved it there.

That’s because It closed to get a new roof but like so many regulars, we’re worried it has bigger unrelated problems that may prevent it reopening 😢

Last time we was there the week before it closed and talking with Matt the main problem wasn't the club itself it was one of the other companies storing vast amounts of creosote that wasn't stored in a concrete bund as by law and had leaked into the ground so it's an environmental issue and we all know what it is like dealing with a government agency how long this can take

Thanks for the info. This has to be the 4th viable explanation for the extended closure but nothing official yet.

I think trust is waining as members know there is an obvious problem, but don’t feel valued enough to be kept updated.

If people don’t feel valued or respected over such a long overrun, they may well find it at another club and sadly dilute the whole friendly familiarity we drive 2hrs each way, and past at least 4 closer clubs to enjoy.

We hope it re-opens but are making others our home atm.
