"Contrary to popular opinion, being fully shaved wasn't invented sometime in the late 80s/early 90s. If you dive back into naturist photography from around the 1950s it wasn't that uncommon for women to be fully shaved and you can even see it in some late 1800s pornographic photography. The trend during the 70s for full bushes was in all likelihood linked to first wave feminism trends such as not shaving legs or under arm but ill bet that there was still a fairly sizeable contingent of women who did shave their bush or certainly kept it in trim even then... What we need to remember is that in the 70s, unless you were a nudist who went to lots of beaches and resorts etc the only time you saw a naked woman other than your girlfriend or wife was in a porn mag, which doesn't really offer a particularly good sample of the general population. The current situation where the vast majority of women are shaved bare is unusual in itself but its lead by the 'pornification' of life and culture generally. Girls who have grown up being bombarded by porn are shaving themselves as soon as their pubic hair appears - and increasingly parents are not bothering to question this as they too would have removed their bush at a fairly young age. However I am seeing on nudist beaches a slight revival in pubic hair on women. Neat trim or even the full bush are far more common sights than they used to be five or ten years ago, which indicates that perhaps some women are making choices based on personal preference rather than just going with whatever everyone else does. I would predict that fairly soon we will see a far bigger mix of shaved, trimmed and full bush - a good thing in my opinion as I prefer variety. What does seem to be happening though is that being shaved is becoming as common on men as it is on women now. You see lots of comments on here by women saying they dont want to give blow jobs to men who have pubes and men - especially young men - who are also bombarded by porn from an early age are just copying what they see. Personally I am agnostic on the whole thing. I like the feel and look of being bare both on myself and on women but sometimes a neat dark triangle or strip can also be really horny to see. "From what I've been noticing, bushes are coming back in, under arm hair also, I've seen a few times recently" Oh I really hope not! Amazingly even trans women are growing hair abit more as well in USA / uk / eu which historically been a no no for porn with trans outside of Thailand / Brazil . The reason for a bush on soft porn mag in the 1970’early 80’s was because of the law in Uk , you could not show a vagina . So open leg pictures from dutch magazines were banned and our Uk magazines had to not show any lips whats so ever . | |||

"I shoot a lot of models and the majority are shaved but the last 2 shoots the models have had a full bush. The preference is definitely smooth. " I would say from Dee’s experience of modelling over the years, photographers tend to like a smooth look ! | |||
