Why wife swapping?

I've often wondered this but why is it always "wife swapping" or "hot wife"?

Is there a "husband swapping" or "hot husband"?

Only curious because we don't seem to see it as often.

The wife swapping term goes back many years but if you think about it, if couples are swapping wives they are also swapping husbands....guess that's why it's now called swinging.

I saw a post the other day asking something along the lines of "what's the biggest your wife has taken?".

To me it implied the same "possession" view of women. Why are some people still like this?
