Has the meaning of the word no changed?

Several times this week we have replied to messages declining an offer because we have no interest in that person, and have received another message to say if we change our minds just to reach out or asking if we’re sure we want to say no.

Has the meaning of the word no changed or are people really so desperate that they take a rejection as a potential positive just because they got a reply?

We agree. We've turned quite a few people down recently - nothing on them as such, just not our cup of tea, and got similar replies. Hate to use the block button but a "thanks but no thanks" doesn't mean we'll be changing our minds in twenty minutes!

I’m sure no still means no I’m any language! Sone people are desperate and thick headed and can’t take being rejected. X

Glad it’s not just us, and yes we’ve started using the block option a lot more of late

Some, I think. Believe it does not apply to them.

Not for me.

The problem is that a lot of people *do* change their mind after saying no, also after saying yes.

No means no and final never changed my mind once.

If I have said yes then I have thought it through and happy for the meet to go ahead.

If i say no thanks now, I block them straight away.

It stops them coming back with any comments or abuse. Too many can't seem to understand no means just that sadly.

I am a lawyer and in general terms no in a consensual swinging meet is a legal minefield.

Well no should mean no still ! but then we are leaving in strange and weird times and so main we reason we just block now as seems if you do reply to say "No" as we've done in the past they do take it as a sort of given that you might well be "Up" for it in a future time/place and so....and of course some want some kind of explaination of the reason why it's a "No" xxx

I always try and reply even if I'm not interested, doesn't take much, sometimes get the same people messaging a week later the same message they must just copy and paste to everyone nearby constantly, maybe blocking is the way forward

We get this all the time.

They will message a day or 2 later asking if we have changed our minds or if we can make an exception this time 🤨

That kind of behaviour is the quickest way to earn a block in our books. If we say no, we mean it and won't be convinced otherwise

Nafferton, nr Driffield.

I get around that by very rarely approaching a couple of solo woman knowing from experience when swinging as a couple, how one gets bombarded by optimistic single men. I leave it to the couples, women or occasionally groups to approach me.

They know what I have to offer and can set the conditions and it's up to me to accept or not. I usually accept.....

We don't have the same issue as we simply don't reply if not interested interested. By replying no thanks you're increasing your chances of follow up messages. Many people have replied no thanks and got abusive messages. It's not worth it, just don't reply, as per Fabs FAQS.

About 3 feet away from the fence

The other week I declined to perform oral sex on someone in a club. About half hour later the same guy corners me in another room and asks again, I said no & went to leave the room, at which point he stood in front of the door in order to prevent me from leaving.

I had to drop my tone & tell him in no uncertain terms that he needed to step aside from the door right now, and he did.

I was seriously twice the size of this guy, I could have picked him up and moved him if I wanted to.

The fact is a lot of people in this scene just have no manners or people skills, and these days it's often combined with a hefty sense of entitlement.

I feel no doesn’t exist to a lot of people on this site, seems they think the more they carry on the more likely to change your mind. Why would I want to meet someone who can’t listen to a no, when you say this you get abuse. I have blocked so many in the last week due to rudeness and insults because I’ve said no

We tend to change our minds from declining the first message to blocking the second.

A miscommunication in the word no has ended in a swift slap on the back of a hand from hubby at a club before 😂
