"Several times this week we have replied to messages declining an offer because we have no interest in that person, and have received another message to say if we change our minds just to reach out or asking if we’re sure we want to say no. Has the meaning of the word no changed or are people really so desperate that they take a rejection as a potential positive just because they got a reply?" We agree. We've turned quite a few people down recently - nothing on them as such, just not our cup of tea, and got similar replies. Hate to use the block button but a "thanks but no thanks" doesn't mean we'll be changing our minds in twenty minutes!

"If i say no thanks now, I block them straight away. It stops them coming back with any comments or abuse. Too many can't seem to understand no means just that sadly. " I always try and reply even if I'm not interested, doesn't take much, sometimes get the same people messaging a week later the same message they must just copy and paste to everyone nearby constantly, maybe blocking is the way forward

We don't have the same issue as we simply don't reply if not interested interested. By replying no thanks you're increasing your chances of follow up messages. Many people have replied no thanks and got abusive messages. It's not worth it, just don't reply, as per Fabs FAQS.
