When your chatting to somebody and they read the message but don't reply,do you just take it as end of conversation.Everyone has busy lives and I understand one message leads to two to three.

I get that quite often. Have started a chat, a few messages exchanged then the conversation stops. Used to bother me but now I just assume they lost interest or are busy.

Doesn't bother me at all. I don't send many and most won't reply but I don't expect one. I'm normally just offering a compliment but appreciate that they are often probably expecting me to want something sexual. Most of the time its purely a compliment

Everyone communicates differently and while one person thinks the conversation is going well, the other might think it's dry. If there's no effort being returned sometimes the conversation comes to a natural end.

Most cases they have lost interest or they haven't been able to turn the conversation to what they really wanted to talk about.

We know a couple folks we chat ti are busy with life/jobs/kids though

Yes to me it means they are not interested so I don't bother sending anymore messages, it is very frustrating as you feel you could have that connection with the person based on their profile but just getting that initial response is very difficult

No i often quickly look at a message but maybe I’ll reply a day or so later

If we get a message and we aren't interested for what ever reason we don't respond and to us this is a no thank you.If we've chatted quite regularly and they open the message I take it they are busy and wait for a reply when and if it comes.i know ppl are busy and 1 message often leads to half hour passing and sometimes we just really don't have that half hour so I get the open and not reply.If we've just started chatting and we get the open message and no reply I take it as a not intrested.

It's a fine line between showing your intrested and becoming that weirdo who pecks head.so if I don't get a reply I leave it as not intrested.

I was just wondering other ppls thoughts.

Sometimes open them then suddenly get busy so it gets forgotten about until either one of us goes back online, but that could be a couple of days. If we're interested we will eventually reply

Sometimes one of us may read a message whilst the other is working and we mark as unread or don't reply straight away.

We make sure we're both on the same page instead of leading people along.

My personal view on this is they will reply when they have time or want to, and if you have sent a message and they open and don’t reply then for me it’s a simple not interested, move on, i have had it a lot send a message to someone I like the look off they open and don’t reply, I dont get offended or think cheeky gits, they just aren’t attracted to me or I’m not what they’ve looking for, move on. That’s my opinion on it anyway. Haha x

I wouldn't take it personally.

As someone with ADHD I regularly think I've replied to a message, here and texts, emails etc...

It's not done deliberately and so if it happens the other way round I just assume they're busy or distracted.
