This is why some people don't go as they are afraid of being seen.

It's happened a lot more than you would think, but not so far to me. You see threads every now and then along the 'OMG!!' lines when someone has had an 'awkward encounter' at a club..

And i've never really understood the "afraid of being seen" arguement!

You're there. They're there. It's a swingers club.

They're hardly going to be diving on the phone to Aunty Mabel saying "Guess who we bumped into at a swingers club last night?" now are they?

We have met people who we know and even a guy who lived 3 doors away from us !

They are there for the same thing as us so its no problem but we have never played with any of them at all, keeps it at a safe sort of distance

I haven't but i do know someone who met his ex sister in law at a welcome swingers club near Sheffield and apparently he was more embarrassed than him as she was giving a floor show and had no inhibitions lol

We have a friend we have known for years, our daughters are the same age and have known each other since nursery, are good friends and have sleep overs etc.

That friends sister is a regular at a swinging club, how do we know? She tells her very scandalized sister all about it, what she gets up too, the lot as far as we can tell (probably just to wined her up! )

We know this as the friend then tells others (including us) about it, and is not complimentary!

So we don't go to that club, primarily as if we met, we suspect it would only be a matter of time before she tried to justify herself / wined her sister up a bit more.

Yes, we could deal with it, but its s*** we can avoid and we don't have to worry about the kids etc.

Probably too much info here as it is, it's she's not on Fab's as far as we know.

I just wanted to point out that sometimes it is a problem and I can understand people keeping a low profile, as all of us longer standing swingers have at some point met, or come across, someone who really lets it all hang out, to use the expression. Just not close to home.

I don't understand why they are afraid to be seen, obviously if you see a family member in a club it just means that they are into the same things as you

have you not noticed how some people on here are very open about swinging and not bothered who they tell and some arnt, if you see someone at a club how can you be sure they arnt the type who will tell their mate next time they see them?
