So it would seem that there are certain acts that have started to become "normal" for guys to do that I feel really should require consent first.

On Saturday night I had the following done to me and I had to stop playing and tell them no, and remind them of consent.

Choking/hands round throat.

Hair pulling.

Spitting.

Thumb in the bum.

So 2 questions.

How has this become normal?

Are there any other acts you feel have skipped consent giving process?

I had this problem a few years ago.... especially the thumb in the bum...

I find it happens less in clubs... so it's one reason I prefer clubs x

Things like that should come with consent only x

Wow! You did the right thing by stopping play and calling them out. If anything you described of that happened to us we would stop play and it wouldn’t start with that person again.

Our approach with new play partners is that we check with everything, not just the porn movie driven behaviours you described. It doesn’t have to break play, just an “is it ok if I ……”

This actually happened in a club! I find that with private meets there has been more chat and dos and don'ts chat usually happens, but at clubs where there is less chat that's when it happens.

Everything should be with consent, not just those acts. Unless you've had a conversation in advance and your play partner has said 'lead and tentatively try' rather than ask...

If not, ask everything, it's not difficult.

To be honest it's why we prefer meeting people via a website. We take our time to get to know people and make our boundaries and rules very clear.

There's been to much "miscommunication" in clubs.
