As a single male, it is more about making a first impression. If you contact someone you are most likely to be ignored. If you see a lot of profiles asking for that, you will of course play as many cards as possible to even get a reply. Men are very visual in nature so we tend to assume that that type of photo will attract more attention that spending time reading a profile, tailoring a message etc.

To be honest, I've no idea why they do it. I generally avoid putting cock photos on my profile, except for a few in my friends-only gallery. I also don't send a photo of it with a message unless requested, and even then I'm somewhat dubious about doing so. I've seen so many couples and female profiles saying they'll block you if you have them on your profile or in a message, so I default to only issuing photos of the ol' persuader when asked 😜
