Allegation of malware within ads on Porn Sites

If you use one of the many internet porn sites you may want to read this:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-22093141

I regularly use one of the sites mentioned, and as I type my anti virus is doing a full scan and I also have Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool for April 2013 running. My pc has been slow for a while I assumed it was knackered but this might explain why. I've also installed the no script ad on for Firefox which I've read may help.

If you use any of these sites then check your pc to make sure it's not infected.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I take it for granted that any porn site will be infected. I tend to avoid them for that reason.

I always wear a condom when on porn sites... Seriously, scanning for viruses as I type.

You can safely use Spybot and AVG Free in conjunction.

AVG Free is a very basic (But free) Antivirus appication, but Spybot specifically targets thngs like Tracking cookies and malware.

Do NOT run spybot with Avast Antivirus however. It bluescreens machines for some odd reason.

If you want more reliable protection, you can get 3 PCs covered under one license for Norton Internet Security for around £29 (If you buy in store at a PC world or something) .. Dont buy it online or EVER renew it online, or it charges around £60.

I use Ad-Aware. That seems to work a treat.

Spybot is old hat nowadays,if you want a god free anti-,malware to run alongside your AV or for occasional scans malwarebytes is far better

If you download the trial for Norton and register it to your email addy you will get an offer from Symantec for a 3 pc 1yr licence for around £14

Try your bank if you use internet banking!

Many give it away for free! Mine for example gives away Kaspersky 2013 and updates and relicencing annually is free! Plus it covers up to 3 machines!

Who says banks never give anything away for free!
