He's just giving you a description of himself. If you feel you're not compatible because of it pass on by.

That's fine but I honestly don't know what he means by it, like if we arranged a meet would he turn up with a suit and briefcase??

Or will he turn up and the fucking will be on a level 11/10??

Traditionally that would mean white rather than blue collar I believe. Perhaps that sort of thing matters to them, who knows.🤷

It isn't difficult to understand. If you go to a doctor, a dentist, a lawyer or an architect you want someone who is well educated to the point of gaining qualifications which are accepted by the governing body of that profession, ie a professional. If someone puts it in their profile they're usually suggesting that they are looking for others with a similar life experience. It's strange that on a site where people can state they're looking for BBWs, BBCs, mature women, people to piss on,etc, etc, that should be sneered at. To state it reflects a preference, not snobbery. To ridicule it reflects intolerance and inverted snobbery.

Traditionally it would mean that you are a member of a professional body...but it's seldom used that way now. I work in IT, which is often described as a profession, even though there is no professional body we have to belong to.

I think nowadays it's more likely to mean that your work involves mainly sitting on your arse

Professional means you have a profession not a job. You wouldn't let a bus driver give you a dental filling, you'd want a professional dentist to do it. They both have valuable jobs, but one is a qualified professional.

I don't like the term on here because it's irrelevant - I think it's fairly easy to know what a professional is in every day life.

If your unsure ask him, if you aren't compatible because of that then that's that.

Irrelevant to you, maybe, but not to those who use it. People use their profile as they want, and so they should. If we see a profile we don't like we don't question or criticise it, we just move on. Fab is a broad church and we should enjoy the diversity.

Wow, whilst the message is right that did sound a little strong to be fair in response to someone's opinion and very non judgemental post. Just my opinion of course as I do agree about the diversity and all that. I leave you in peace

People can and should use it how they want & yes it's irrelevant to me hence the comment obviously.

I didn't say it had to be irrelevant to you.

What I like & what you like will be very different however I wouldn't pull you up on your dislikes.

Diversity, see a profile you don't like just move on, doesn't apply to comments on a forum though 😂

I have ‘professional’ on my profile.

To me It’s clear and non ambiguous.

I can’t understand why people get so riled up about how others construct their profiles.

It's not something I would personally worry about. But I do like your modern definition 😀.

It's just a word that people get het up over.

Same as 'genuine', 'real' or 'discreet'.

Means nothing to some and something to others. 🤷‍♂️
