i am really wanting to try anal for the first time i've given but never received and am a little apprehensive about it how should i best prepare myself ?

Use a douche first. The biggest mental block is about whether you are clean. So get that out of the way.

About making the experience smooth, try practicing with your fingers first and then butt plug. In both the cases, apply plenty of lube.

When you are doing it the first time, your body's natural reaction is to shut down the hole and block it. This is why trying it with your own fingers helps. You need to relax your butt to let it slide in. You do that a few times and you get used to relaxing your butt. After that, try with a butt plug, small one obviously.

Then you try with others. Take it really really slowly with lots of lube. If there is pain, stop immediately. Remember to relax yourself the way you did while playing with yourself, so that the other person can gently slide in.

Preparation is everything for a 1st time, I used varying butt plugs over a few weeks and LOTS AND LOTS of lube.
