What does Dress Down mean.

I'm attending a thing and there's a group chat. The theme is set and people are describing outfits. One person is describing a 'main' outfit which is already very tiny and revealing. She said she's going to 'dress down' to something else. I'm thinking dress down to what! The only way to wear less is wear nothing. And if that's the case, why not just say naked?

So what does this term mean to you.

I honestly have no idea.

It used to mean wear your jeans to work on Friday so we can look as if we care about our staff.

Dress down in a club means Men in underwear or a towel, Ladies in lingerie or underwear. She may be stripping to just underwear.

Dressdown to me is, ladies in nice skimpy dress/lingerie/naked and as comfortable as they like. Gents, nice boxers/pants/towel or naked

I think in a thong bikini at a beach themed party she's already in her underwear?

So I have asked the question and I think the beach theme is being abandoned and then it's lingerie so it could mean dress up...as I have baby dolls etc that are more coverage than a bikini

Dress down to us is generally applied to a club where ladies wear sexy, revealing number or a towel.

The men, underwear or a towel.

Some places on first entering, others if you wander into a play area.

At a private party, I get into a revealing, see through number once we have decided we are happy to stay.
