I block people who are rude, don't meet my requirements or I don't meet theirs. Mostly to local people around me though, it frees up my updates page so I don't have to look at things I don't need to.

Does this strike you as a fake profile. Arranged a meet, they didn't want to chat on the phone before even though I suggested it but all seemed normal. Went to message on the day of, to say looking forward to meeting. I was blocked. Doesn't this seems suspicious?

the block button it the tool that make your fab journey easier ... i block for many reasons mainly because im not interested in that person/persons ..

im on fab to find guys to meet and just guys as i meet women and couples via different ways... so its easy for me just to block guys ive zero interest in along with those who bully , abuse , sexist racist and on and on ... i block those who pm me because of forum post ... i block those who are a zillion miles away or ask for phone / cam sex ...

pre block those who my many swinging friends have found undesirable ...word of mouth amongst swinging friends helps add to the block list

its the button that means i rarely ever get let down messed about and rare to get abuse ...

my block list must run into the 1000s for sure

I personally would never speak on the phone and I blocked too many during on going conversations, mainly because they did or said something triggering that put me off. I doesn’t make me fake, I just won’t put myself in position to be possibly abused in message or my time wasted on someone I wouldn’t want to meet. I am perfectly aware it works both ways and I’ve been also blocked mid conversation. Not a big deal.

If I said other men or transexuals it doesnt mean all transexuals as theres trans men and trans women however its self explanatory to understand that I refer to trans woman as a straight person would not engage with a trans woman! - Clearly not read our profile

- Stated desires don't align

- Using derogatory language or being overly pushy in first message

- Comments on forum posts which show that our values do not align

- Repeated friend requests sent without any messages etc

People with pics or status updates I don't like.

Those who I've seen be unsavoury on the forums more than once.

Anyone who sends dick pics or a graphic lengthy message about what they'd do if we met. Ewww.

I agree many tend to get so offended, but it's a good tool, to make your life on fab easier and lead you to people you're more likely to want to chat to.

We only block people who don’t take no and keep going.

Sometimes when we go to look at a profile and they’ve blocked us, I wonder why but don’t dwell on it - it’s already shown we aren’t going to be compatible so all is good.

We should just block people who are a complete no - maybe we’ll start doing that. We wonder if we’ll stop getting people still messaging but there’s hundreds of new profiles every day so I think we won’t complete FAB by blocking people 😛

I block for the me reason only. I’d never meet that person and so there’s no reason for them to either come up in my searches in the future nor I in theirs.

Last week I was chatting with someone who asked for a face pic, and then blocked me as soon as they'd seen it.

It was a bit of a kick in the balls, but at the same time I get it - if it's a hard pass, why risk getting a load of abuse as a result? (I mean, I definitely wouldn't have go abusive or arsey, but they don't know that. Risk management innit.)

I’m generally a positive person so I generally block profiles who have taking the time to reply as not interested so I don’t bother them for a second time. Other reasons include the usual. People who just don’t read profiles. I don’t send message to people who are not looking for some of my age but I get messages of single males even that I expressly state that I do not want to meet single males!!

I always block couples and single women that do not meet smokers. I also block people that won't meet someone my age. I also block profiles that come and go on a weekly basis, but they are too stupid to put something different in their profile from the last 20 times they have joined and left.

I block those that I'm not going to meet. For example, on my couples account with my wife, the odd profile that messages at 2am with "r u up, fancy a meet now" types or someone who's completely the opposite of what I (or we) is (or are) looking for.

Block is needed and is a good last resort for when filters fail.

I used the block feature for the first time last night after some uncomfortable messages. I asked him politely to stop messaging us which he continually chose to ignore so felt it was the only option.

If I'm honest I didn't like how it made me feel (not the blocking, but the messages) but I guess that it's sometimes what happens? I'll be happy if that's the last time I'm sure of that

I'm a single guy - so inevitably I send a lot of messages to singles and couples. I use blocking in a positive way. If my message is deleted or there is no response after being read and left for say a few days..then I make the assumption, that for whatever reason, those people aren't interested in me. I therefore block them. This means if they do come up in my searches, thier profiles will be hidden to me and any mistakes or unwanted attention is avoided. Everybody wins.

Guy looked at our profile. His profile picture was him grinning as he either pretended to kick a Ferrari or rest his foot on it.

We could be wrong but 99.9% sure it wasn’t his car so we blocked him for disrespect if it was someone else’s car or for showing off on the remote chance it was his.

Sometimes pictures give you an insight into personality and you block because you don’t want contacted by them.

Anyone who has been on Fab a while will know there are an awful lot of time wasters on here.

To avoid them wasting both their time and ours we are very clear in our profile who and what we are looking for and how we will respond to a message.

We are nice people who do like to play but have no hesitation in acting on what we’ve said. We delete one liners & dick shots without reply and block those that send unsolicited friend requests or are persistent in thinking they are an exception to the rule.

Our admin is therefore usually quick and often ruthless. We have busy normal lives and unfortunately don’t have time or energy to pander to those that can’t read or can’t be bothered to.
