I’d firstly like to caveat that this is not a whinge, or a moan, or an attempt to have a go at the females/couples on here. More of an attempt to reach out to my fellow single guys and say ‘I know’

We know the ratio of single males to females/couples is very skewed on fab, and females/couples (and others) are inundated with messages and it would be impossible to reply to everyone.

However, It can be a lonely site for a single guy, lots of rejection, and sometimes good conversations and meets can be few and far inbetween.

If you’re struggling with self-esteem or loneliness, or if you want to tell the single guys to keep the faith and don’t get knocked, let’s make this thread a place of positivity where we have each others back.

The biggest advice is

Get offline and attend a swingers club or social meets.

You will meet like minded people in a safe setting, let the party hosts know your nervous.

They will look after you and you will be with people who share your interest in the swinging world.

I find it can be addictive, chasing that feeling of being desired.

I also genuinely enjoy the lifestyle and want to be part of the community.

Not sure I would describe it as a lonely place. It's a site that can be addictive - meeting, conversing, viewing people who enjoy meeting, conversing, viewing and having sex. Throw in the opportunity to talk openly about kinks and fantasies - I find it's a great place to be. You do need a thick skin and patience and to treat the place lightly - not to invest your whole life in it. Like social media. It's a part of life not all of it.

As mentioned above - engage in the forums and chat, be considerate, be natural and don't be a dick. Be realistic with your expectations and you can have fun.

As the male half of a couple, I experience the site in a very different way as single men or single women here. I am a man, but for Fab purposes I am not, so to speak.

What makes me wonder OP is what makes single men join a site for swingers with the expectation that the rules of engagement will be any different from the vanilla world.

Are you all living fulfilled lives, full of social interaction? do you have many male and female friends that you do things together? Do you have a romantic partner? Do you go to a bar or club and able to pull a girl? After you comfortable flirting with a stranger you just met?

A) No, you don't. Therefore, maybe reflect that the issue about loneliness and self esteem is linked to you, not to Fab. If you struggle to make those connections in vanilla life, where people do not care much about your looks to befriend you, here in Fab will be even more difficult, since attraction (physical and personality) is the key factor for women and couples to engage with single men.

B) Yes, you do. In this case, it's likely you are doing fine in vanilla life and either you are doing great here too as a single man, or you don't care because you are getting your sex, intimacy and self-esteem boosts elsewhere.

OP, I feel for you and those in your situation, but I would bet that you would be more successful to chat and meet women socially in a normal dating app, and probably better chances to get some unexpected sex with some of them, than here in Fab. That's if you stick to apps. If you take the advice given above to go to socials, you'll do far far better.
